For Dr. Tijerina, the most rewarding part of dentistry is being able to restore patients’ smiles and confidence in lasting ways. He will always go the extra mile to ensure that you have a comfortable and fulfilling experience here! If you’d like to learn more about him, just keep reading below.
When Dr. Tijerina was a young adult, he was finally able to get much-needed jaw surgery. He went through a series of appointments with several dentists, including an orthodontist and an oral surgeon. Getting ready for the surgery really sparked an interest in him for their line of work, and he realized that he wanted to be a dentist too so that he could help patients achieve the healthier, happier teeth they really wanted.
After completing his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas-Pan American, Dr. Tijerina pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Today, he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is always looking for new continuing education opportunities to expand his clinical skills. He has a particular interest in esthetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Tijerina is happily married to his wife Lizette, who teaches 1 st grade. They have a sweet baby boy named Lorenzo who was born on 2/20/20! When he isn’t busy at the dental office, his top priority is always getting home to spend quality time with his family. Other hobbies include exercising, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and reading a good book.
