CBCT Scanner

Dentist McAllen

Digital X-Rays are an essential diagnostic tool for dentists, but in some cases, they do not provide the level of detail that is necessary in order to perform complex procedures. That is where our CBCT scanner comes into the picture. This remarkable machine uses a cone-shaped beam of radiation to produce extremely detailed, three-dimensional images of both a patient’s hard and soft tissues.

We can use the CBCT scanner for a number of different purposes, but it is especially useful in the dental implants process. It can help Dr. Tijerina plan for a precise implant placement surgery, thus minimizing your risk of complications and making for the most efficient treatment possible.

Intraoral Cameras

If you’ve ever wondered what Dr. Tijerina sees during your routine exam or you’ve simply felt left out of the examination process, you’ll find our dental office’s intraoral camera to be incredibly insightful. This small handheld device is designed to capture detailed images of your many oral structures, including your teeth, gums, throat, and other important areas. Once captured, they can be viewed on a nearby monitor for closer viewing, enhancing the patient experience during routine checkups.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry might seem intimidating at first, but it’s actually quite the opposite. Instead of using metal instruments for certain treatments, including gum therapy, our dental office makes use of a soft-tissue diode laser. This device uses concentrated beams of light to carefully and precisely perform many dental treatments.

Dr. Tijerina is able to make same-day crowns thanks to his scanner and milling unit. He scans your teeth to get a 3D model of them and then begins designing your custom crown in just minutes. When he is done designing the crown it gets sent to the mill in his lab and is ready in approximately 40 mins. This is so convenient because it saves you a visit instead of having to come back in 2 weeks for your crown and since Dr. Tijerina has full control of the design process adjustments to the crown are very rare which leaves your crown with that polished natural tooth look.
